Inclusion and Wellbeing
Supporting the social, emotional and mental health of children is extremely important to assist them in growing to their full potential. At Richmond Hill we believe that to do this, building strong relationships is key and we strive to ensure that the needs and wellbeing of all members of our school community are supported. This is done in a variety of ways to make sure that the best possible support is given at the right time.

Thrive
Thrive is whole school approach to support children's social and emotional wellbeing/mental health. Thrive is woven into everyday practice across school and designed to help support children's emotional literacy, understanding of self and regulation. These are the building blocks upon which learning can be built.
The Thrive Approach allows us to deliver both right-time and reparative support for whole-school, small-group and one-to-one needs through an online assessment tool (Thrive-Online®) providing strategies and activities that are unique to the requirements of our children.
At Richmond Hill we also offer Family Thrive courses which are an opportunity for parents/carers to come and learn about the neuroscience behind behaviour, more about how this is supported in school and how it can be further supported at home.

With Me In Mind
With Me in Mind is the name of one of the national Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) who offer online CBT sessions covering a variety of topics to further support children and their families with a range of needs.
Richmond Hill is proud to be currently working alongside With Me In Mind on a project to further enhance our provision in supporting the resilience of our children. Resilience is needed if children are to thrive and achieve. It means they can problem solve, make the most of opportunities and cope when things get tough. Making sure that our children are always ready to take on their next challenge is important to us.
